I had two things to do after work today: quick grocery shopping and returning a library book. At the grocery store, I remembered the items not on my list that I needed for dinner but then got sidetracked by the ice cream freezer and didn't get one single item on my actual list. And the library book didn't cross my mind once.
Now I'm in stretchy pants camped out on the couch, staunchly unwilling to go outside again in the cold and rain.
{I'd hate to turn into one of those women who blame every flake-out and sweet indulgence on pregnancy, but really, can I at least chalk the list negligence up to the baby? Veteran mothers, please enlighten me.}

Ride that baby wave!!
Use the excuse while you got it. Plus, it is a scientific fact that your IQ goes down (or, at least, your performance on an IQ test) while you are pregnant. No worries, though, it will return to normal after all the hormones are back to pre-pregnancy levels.
I know it feels flaky but you really only have a short window of time where you can blame things on the baby. After that, it just makes you look like a bad mother. :) I would take advantage of this time while you can.
You can definitely blame the forgetfulness on pregnancy. I was SUPER forgetful the entire time I was pregnant with Lily. Good luck! So excited for your little one! I hope you haven't been too sick. If you have, ask your doctor for some Zofran. That's the only way I made it through my pregnancy. I woke up nauseous every single morning!
I am getting to be the same way :P I too don't want to blame things on the baby but...I do.
