I've had an account with goodreads.com for a while but haven't really done anything with it until now. In short, I love it. Of course. It's like a not-stalkerish facebook for cool people who read. It's incredible. Over the weekend I spent undisclosed amounts of time perusing the pages and pages of quotes, which was way fun, but I did find one thing slightly unsettling: several quotes per page were from the Twilight books. Granted, I have read the Twilight books, and I enjoyed them for the basic story line. (I even posted about it last summer.) However, the writing is truly deplorable. When I told Mom this afternoon about goodreads catering to Twilight quotes, she responded with "What can you quote from Twilight?!" Yup. I refuse to add those quotes to my favorite quotes list; you will not see Twilight quotes on my goodreads sidebar. Ever. (Harry Potter quotes will grace my goodreads quotes rotation. Obviously.)
I vote for implementing a filtering system: any proposed quotes to be added to the goodreads quotes archive, just pass it by me. I'll sign off. Then we can avoid travesties like this one: however enthralling sparkling vampires are--and I admit to reading all of them and enjoying the concept--Twilight is literary kitsch, not literature. No way.

I was a bit disturbed about all the Twilight quotes on Goodreads as well. I'm willing to back you as the Filtering Queen. I was happy to see that you were rating tons of books, though!
