I had a friend once who described January perfectly: it's like a month of Mondays. Exactly. Perfectly articulated. It's Wednesday, January 13—the middle of the month—and it feels like a Monday. I look forward all day to going home and watching "Gilmore Girls" and wearing stretchy pants. During the day I'm productive and participate in my classes and do my reading—I'm not dysfunctional by any means. But I'm a little homesick, a little unmotivated, a little blue.
It feels like a Monday . . . every day.
But don't worry—Tuesday will come around eventually.

I couldn't agree more! Thank heavens, it's Friday...tomorrow!
Carry on.
I completely agree! January needs to go away. I made cake last night to make myself feel better.
i keep thinking it's Thursday, which is terrible because i keep thinking tomorrow is friday..and it's not.
Susan's comment had me going for a second, until I realized that tomorrow is in fact Thursday. Sheesh--what a cruel hoax.
You know what? I like Mondays. So I really don't have a problem with January. But perhaps you should read Jill's post from yesterday, it puts a positive spin on January that you might enjoy.
So true! Glad to know it's not just me feeling this way.
